Forward Mitch Woods, who will make his much-anticipated return to the Komets' lineup Friday against the visiting Quad City Mallards, said he expects to take a few shifts per period.
"I feel pretty good," he said. "It's been going a lot better than I expected. I talked to (coach) Al Sims and we're in agreement not to have me play overly much, just get back in the feeling of things and not do too much, feel it out."
Asked if fans wanting to see him scrap a lot should temper their enthusiam, Woods said: "That stuff finds me more than I find it. We'll see. I'm not guaranteeing anything."
