IPFW's men's basketball team begins the second half of its Summit League season Thursday night at Western Illinois, and if Dane Fife is ever going to get over the 13-win hump, that's a pivotal game.
A win against the Leathernecks would even the Mastodons' record at 10-10 - not bad considering they've played at Wisconsin, Washington State, Gonzaga, Michigan State, Toledo and dropped a pair of games to conference leaders Oakland and IUPUI.
That leaves four wins to grab if IPFW is to exceed the 13 wins it has had in its last two seasons.
I think they're out there - maybe more.
Second half predictions: Win Thursday, loss at IUPUI, loss at home to Oral Roberts, win at home against Centenary, a split on the road swing to Missouri-Kansas City and Southern Utah, home wins against North Dakota State and South Dakota State, a non-conference home win against SIU-Edwardsville, then a road loss at Oakland.
Predictably, that's at least six more wins - with a home upset against Oral Roberts looming.
