3 charged after meth bust

Drug, precursors seized in Noble

Noble County sheriff’s deputies arrested three people after a drug bust Friday north of Ligonier.

A monthlong investigation led police to believe a methamphetamine lab was being operated at a home at 8742 W. County Road 1000 N.

The Noble County Special Operations Group and Northeast Indiana SWAT team searched the home Friday, according to a Noble County Sheriff’s Department statement.

Police arrested James Hendrix, 32, of Angola, on a felony meth possession charge.

Police also arrested resident Mark Lemings, 29, on charges of possession of two or more precursors, reckless possession of paraphernalia and resisting law enforcement.

Resident Shannon Hohenstein, 34, was also arrested. She is charged with possession of two or more precursors, reckless possession of paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
