No. 6 Purdue shot 57 percent from the field, 91 percent from the line and held a 31-30 rebounding edge to beat No. 10 Michigan State, 76-64, at the Breslin Center.

The Boilermakers snapped a nine-game losing streak in East Lansing, where they hadn't won since 1998.

Purdue (20-3, 8-3 Big Ten), Michigan State (19-6, 9-3), Illinois and Ohio State all have three losses in conference play. The Illini shocked Wisconsin in Madison, Wis., on Tuesday

E'Twaun Moore scored 25 points on 8-of-14 shooting and was clutch when the Spartans made a late run to help the Boilermakers surge toward the top of the Big Ten and win their sixth straight game.

Purdue led 55-37 with 15:16 left in the game, but Michigan State stormed back to pull within 65-62 with about 4:30 to play.

But after a timeout, Moore drilled a three-pointer from the left wing. He then assisted on Rob Hummel's basket and added a runner in the lane to push Purdue's lead to 72-62 with 2:37 left.

Senior Keaton Grant spoke with Purdue radio after the game and had plenty of praise for Moore.

"Smooth, clutch," Grant said on the radio. "He's going to carry the team. He's been doing it all three years he's been here, and he's going to keep doing it."

Coach Matt Painter spoke with Purdue radio after the game and called Moore's three-pointer a "huge shot."

But Painter made sure to mention that it was a "great" team victory Tuesday night.

"We beat a pretty good team on their home court at a crucial time for us," Painter said on the radio. "We were 2-3 in the Big Ten and now we're 8-3. So it's good to see our guys step up and make plays and just get some more confidence playing on the road and have that experience and feeling good about it."
