INDIANAPOLIS – Matt Howard doesnt expect any letdowns from No. 18 Butler, even with at least a share of the Bulldogs fourth straight Horizon League regular season title secured.
Howard scored 20 points to lead the Bulldogs past Loyola of Chicago 62-47 on Monday night for their 13th straight win. Butler (21-4, 14-0) can clinch the conference title outright with a victory at Youngstown State on Thursday night.
The Bulldogs are tied for the second-longest winning streak in the nation with Murray State. Siena has won 15 straight.
This team is looking for more, Howard said. If were going to keep progressing, its got to be 40 minutes of basketball to get to where we want to be.
Willie Veasley had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Bulldogs, who matched the second-longest winning streak in school history.
Walt Gibler and Geoff McCammon each scored nine points for the Ramblers (13-11, 4-10).

Villanova (21-2, 10-1) rebounded from a blowout loss at No. 7 Georgetown on Saturday to pull into a first-place tie with No. 2 Syracuse. West Virginia (19-4, 8-3) was led by Darryl Bryants 13 points.
No. 25 PITTSBURGH 77, ROBERT MORRIS 53: Ashton Gibbs and Jermaine Dixon led a mid-game surge as the host Panthers broke out of a tie late in the first half by scoring 27 of the next 32 points. Gibbs scored 20 points and Dixon had 18 points and six rebounds for Pitt (18-6).
VALPARAISO 83, ILLINOIS-CHICAGO 82: Brandon Wood and Ryan Broekhoff each scored 18 points to lead the host Crusaders (13-13, 8-6 Horizon), who have won seven of their last nine.
No. 5 TENNESSEE 69, VANDERBILT 60: Kelley Cain scored a career-high 19 points as the visiting Volunteers (21-2, 9-1 SEC) earned their fifth straight win.
No. 8 DUKE 79, No. 18 NORTH CAROLINA 51: Bridgette Mitchell and Keturah Jackson scored 12 points apiece as the host Blue Devils (19-4, 7-1) bounced back from their first ACC loss to beat the rival Tar Heels (16-6, 4-4).
No. 21 GEORGIA TECH 68, CLEMSON 53: Brigitte Ardossi had 17 points as the visiting Yellow Jackets (20-5, 6-3 ACC) reached 20 wins for the fourth straight year.
