Great news today, if you're me. I win. I had three days in the pool.
That would be the "How many days before we start looking for someone to blame for the Colts loss in Super Bowl XLIV?" pool.
Right on cue, here come some fans and writers blaming offensive coordinator Tom Moore for the Colts' conservative play-calling. And here comes team president Bill Polian, saying it was the special teams and offensive line that let down the Horsies.
Know what I think?
I think when you have more total yards (432-332), more passing yards (333-281) and more first downs (23-20) than the other guy, the problem is not Tom Moore's offense.
And I think if you trot Matt Stover out there to kick a 51-yarder, the odds are better he'll miss it than make it.
And I think the offensive line is a damned odd place to lay blame considering Peyton Manning threw 45 passes and was hit only three times, and wasn't sacked once.
I also think that maybe the Colts lost because the Saints were the better team Sunday night. You know, just maybe.
