INDIANAPOLIS – A dominant fourth quarter helped the Chicago Bulls in their quest to build momentum heading into the All-Star break.
Luol Deng had 23 points and 11 rebounds, and the Bulls beat the Indiana Pacers 109-101 Tuesday night. Chicago outscored Indiana 28-15 in the final 12 minutes.
We battled back and made a couple of adjustments, Chicago coach Vinny Del Negro said. They missed some shots, of course. Our energy and effort in the fourth quarter was good.
The Pacers shot 33 percent in the fourth quarter of their final game before the break.
Derrick Rose and John Salmons each scored 21 points for the Bulls. Kirk Hinrich scored 17 points, and Brad Miller added 13 for Chicago.
Danny Granger had 27 points and 10 rebounds, Troy Murphy had 18 points and 16 rebounds and Earl Watson added 14 points and six assists for the Pacers.
76ERS 119, TIMBERWOLVES 97: Andre Iguodala scored 24 points, Elton Brand added 21, and Philadelphias reserves performed well on the road.
The reserves came through for Philadelphia as Lou Williams (16 points), Thaddeus Young (15), Royal Ivey (9) and Jason Smith (9) helped the team win its fifth straight.
CAVALIERS 104, NETS 97: LeBron James scored 32 points to lead host Cleveland to its 12th straight win.
The win gives Cleveland the longest winning streak in the NBA this season, and the Cavaliers (42-11) also have the best record in the league.
New Jersey (4-47) was led by Courtney Lee with 24 points.
BOBCATS 94, WIZARDS 92: Raymond Felton hit a fadeaway 12-footer with 1.9 seconds left and host Charlotte snapped a three-game losing streak.
PISTONS 93, BUCKS 81: Tayshaun Prince scored a season-high 18 points and Rodney Stuckey added 18 to lead visiting Detroit.
Brandon Jennings had 18 points, and Andrew Bogut added 17 points and 18 rebounds for the Bucks.
HEAT 99, ROCKETS 66: Desperate to snap a five-game losing streak, host Miami raced to a 25-point lead at halftime, its largest margin at the break this season.
Dwyane Wade had 17 points and seven assists for the Heat.
KINGS 118, KNICKS 114, OT: Tyreke Evans led a comeback from a 15-point, fourth-quarter deficit, Kevin Martin scored nine of his 17 points in overtime and visiting Sacramento ended a six-game losing streak.
HAWKS 108, GRIZZLIES 94: Jamal Crawford scored 28 points to help Atlanta pull away and snap a three-game road losing streak.
NUGGETS 127, MAVERICKS 91: Carmelo Anthony scored 19 points in his return from an ankle injury and host Denver had its biggest win of the season.
