Junior JaJuan Johnson earned his second Big Ten Player of the Week after averaging 20 points and 8.5 rebounds in two Purdue victories.
"It's a big honor," Johnson said before practice Monday. "It's really attributed just to my teammates. I really can't do without those guys because I'm a post player. They have to get me the ball. It's a good thing, but it's more a team accomplishment.
"If we didn't win those two games, I wouldn't have got it. That Michigan State game was just so pivotal for the Big Ten standings at that point and just because we haven't won there in so long, it was a good feeling."
- Purdue moved up to two spots to No. 4 in the AP poll. Kansas, Kentucky and Villanova are ranked ahead of the Boilermakers. Despite moving into the top 4, ESPN.com's Joe Lunardi still has Purdue as a No. 2 seed in his NCAA bracket.
