So much for the Dan Dickau-to-Joe Alexander connection.
The Mad Ants announced today that Alexander, the 6-foot-9 forward who has played six games with Fort Wayne, was recalled to the NBA because of a trade between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls.
Alexander became property of the Bulls when he was traded for Hakim Warrick and John Salmons.
There had been hope within the Mad Ants camp that Alexander would fit in well with former NBA guard Dan Dickau, who scored 15 points in his Fort Wayne debut Feb. 16.
No one on the roster can actually take Alexander's place. He was the most athletic front court player on the team, and also the quickest. The Mad Ants' weakness just got weaker.
Alexander averaged 10.5 points and nearly five rebounds a game for the Ants this season.
