Pizza shop serving up pizza swap
Ben Nighswander believes everyone deserves a great pizza, every time.
So the owner of B. Antonio's Pizza has come up with a “Non-Chain Challenge” to make sure that happens. It's all part of his master plan to get people to support locally owned businesses.
“Basically, if you get a pizza from a competitor that you don't like, we'll swap it out. We're guaranteeing that we have the best pizza in town,” he says.
Here's how it works: If you order a pizza and are less than thrilled with the result, you can order the same one, the same day, from B. Antonio's, and get it for free. Just be prepared to hand over your mediocre pizza to the folks at B. Antonio's.
“We'll give you a better pizza in an even trade,” Nighswander says.

As for March features, B. Antonio's is offering a Chicago-style sandwich for $5.50. It has Italian beef and hot peppers on a sub roll and is served with plain or barbecue chips. Add mozzarella for 50 cents.

Pizza Hut helping Turnstone next month
March 3 will mark the 15th annual Pizza Hut Turnstone Benefit Day.
From 5 to 8 p.m., Pizza Hut of Fort Wayne Inc. will donate $1 from every adult dinner buffet (at regular price) and 50 cents from every child dinner buffet to Turnstone Center for Children & Adults with Disabilities, which provides services to more than 2,000 residents of northeast Indiana.
Participating locations include Pizza Hut restaurants in Angola, Auburn, Berne, Bluffton, Columbia City, Decatur, Fort Wayne, Huntington, Kendallville, New Haven, North Manchester, Portland, Wabash and Van Wert, Ohio.
All-you-can-eat fish available during Lent
Sister restaurants Moosewood BBQ and the Lucky Moose are celebrating Lent with several specials.
The lunch specials for $5.95 are available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays until April 2. Specials are fish tacos with rice, tilapia (breaded or blackened) or catfish (breaded or blackened) with red beans and rice.
On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, get all-you-can-eat tilapia, catfish or ribs for $12.95 (includes salad bar). This feature is good through Easter, April 4.

Raise a glass to ACRES
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of ACRES Land Trust, Mad Anthony Brewing Co. has created a lager called ACRES Amber.
You can taste it during the birthday party, which runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Mad Anthony, 2002 Broadway. There also will be live acoustic music and raffles.
Mad Anthony will donate $1 to ACRES for every ACRES Growler (half-gallon glass jug) sold in March, while supplies last. It also will donate $1 for every ACRES Amber growler fill-up.
Founded in 1960, ACRES is the oldest and largest land trust in Indiana. It includes 73 nature preserves totaling 4,580 acres, most of which are open daily, and freely, to the public.
Dine & Ride returns
The Downtown Improvement District's Dine & Ride program is back by popular demand.
If you're heading out for dinner and a show, you can catch a free shuttle from several downtown restaurants to Embassy Theatre: Bourbon Street Hideaway, Club Soda, Dash-In, Hall's Gas House, Henry's, J.K. O'Donnell's and Toscani Pizzeria.
Two buses run the route every 15 to 20 minutes. Patrons are picked up curbside in front of the restaurant. (Bourbon Street Hideaway diners are picked up on the west side of Harrison Street, at Columbia Street).
For shows at 7:30 p.m., buses start running at 6:15 p.m. For shows at 8 p.m., buses start running at 6:45 p.m. After the concert, the bus will take you back to the restaurant.
Eligible concerts are the Philharmonic Masterworks, Philharmonic Pops and the Embassy's Broadway series.
