Yarn Storage

I have a contract in to buy a home in Fort Wayne. Closing is in April, and I'm really excited about arranging my furniture and such. There is a strange little Alice-in-wonderland triangular room off of the master bedroom that you have to crawl through a little doorway to get to. It could be a walk-in closet with some major renovation.

For now, I'm imagining it as my own little yarn horde room. How should I arrange it? I can close the little door, so it will be safe from the cats. Would open bins work? I don't think shelves would work very well, because the ceiling is completely slanted, all around. There's no room for furniture, really, either.

I tend to sort my yarn by weight, except sometimes things end up in "project bags", which means I carefully place yarn, pattern, and needles all together, and then ignore them for months or years. Right now my stash is all in a big jumble in several storage containers.

How do you manage and store your craft supplies? Are you lucky enough to dedicate a space to it in your home?
