P.C. Drouin had a goal and two assists as the Komets kept rolling, winning 4-1 Friday at Bloomington, Ill.
Fort Wayne has won six consecutive games overall and also extended its road winning streak to six. The Komets play another one away from the Coliseum tonight – at Flint, Mich. – during their stretch of four games in five days.
Fort Wayne has scored at least four goals in each of the past five games.
Drouin scored the game’s first goal, unassisted, in the first period.
Then he and Sean O’Connor got assists on Guy Dupuis’ power-play goal about four minutes later for a 2-0 lead.
After Bloomington cut the gap to 2-1 in the second period, Drouin found Bobby Phillips for a goal at the 17-minute mark.
Matt Syroczynski added a goal in the third period. It was his sixth goal during the Komets’ winning streak, the most of any player.
Nick Boucher had 26 saves for the Komets.
