House votes to rename Rome City post office

WASHINGTON – The House voted Tuesday to name the post office in Rome City for Army Spc. Nicholas Scott Hartge, 20, who was killed three years ago in Iraq.

A graduate of East Noble High School, Hartge died in May 2007 near Adhamiya, Iraq, when the vehicle he was riding in hit roadside bomb.

Rep. Mark Souder, R-3rd, proposed the bill, which must also be approved by the Senate before the building gets Hartge’s name.
