Meth labs seized after chase

A LaGrange County man was arrested Monday afternoon, accused of making methamphetamine.

Indiana State Police said sheriff’s deputies went to the home of Joseph Allen Trushel in the 6900 block of County Road 310 East near Howe after getting information from a Michigan narcotics team.

When deputies knocked on the door, Trushel ran, chucking a couple of one-pot meth labs and other supplies as he went, according to a written statement from the state police.

He was taken to the LaGrange County Jail, and the Indiana State Police Clandestine Laboratory Team was called in to deal with the meth lab and related items.
