Komets all over 'em

One period in the books between the Komets and Bloomington, and so far it's a good night for the home side and a great night for Sean O'Connor.

The Komets lead 3-0 after one, and O'Connor's got two of them. He scored his first of the night cleaning up in the crease after Matt Syroczynski beat his man to the net and put the puck underneath Bloomington goalie Kevin Armstrong. He got his second thanks to a stellar grinder play by Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock, who dug the puck out behind the net and centered it to a breaking O'Connor.

One more note: David Hukalo skated a regular shift on a line with Mitch Woods and Justin Chwedoruk.

More later.
