Notre Dame’s winning streak continues to amaze.
The Irish won their sixth straight game with a 50-45 victory over Pittsburgh in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament Thursday night.
Notre Dame’s success is because of the team’s new slowdown offense, which continues to work the second time around on teams.
The Irish’s winning streak began with a 68-53 home win over the Panthers on Feb. 24.
And now seniors Luke Harangody, who scored 12 against Pitt, and Tory Jackson, who also had 12, lead the Irish (23-10) to the game coach Mike Brey talked about before the team left for the New York - a semifinal.
Notre Dame will play the winner of Thursday night's game between Cincinnati and West Virginia for a chance to reach its first Big East championship game.
And with the way the Irish are rolling, it is hard to count them out for a chance to play Saturday.
