The National Weather Service in northern Indiana has issued a flood warning for areas along the Wabash River.
The warning is in place for areas near Linn Grove, affecting Adams and Wells counties, until Tuesday evening. Minor flooding is expected near Linn Grove.
At 10 pm Sunday the river was 10.8 feet and rising. Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
The river was expected to rise above flood stage early Monday and crest near 11.1 feet about 2 p.m. Monday.
At 11.0 feet, agricultural flooding begins and low lands east of Geneva begin to flood.
The weather service also issued a flood warning for the Wabash near Bluffton until Wednesday evening, affecting Huntington and Wells counties.
The river was expected to rise above flood stage late Sunday and crest at 11.0 feet about 8 p.m. Monday. Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
Drivers are urged to avoid driving through high water, and children should not be allowed to play in or near flood waters.
