Warsaw has a pretty good connection with Huntington North, the site of its Class 4A semistate matchup Saturday against Carroll.
The school's athletic director, Joe Santa, spent some time at Huntington North as its AD before heading to Warsaw two years ago.
Santa, in fact, still lives in Huntington and has a daughter who is a senior at the school.
Also, Warsaw coach Doug Ogle's daughter, Cendall, will be running track at nearby Huntington University in the fall.
The Tigers' opponent, Carroll, also has a connection to the school as the only team of the four semistate teams (with Class A opponents Monroe Central and Bowman) who isn't allowed to practice this week on the floor because of an earlier game against Huntington North at the gym.
The Chargers beat the host Vikings 59-36 on Dec. 11.
