Cinderella outdances 'em all

Time to break out the confetti and noisemakers, Fort Wayne: You are home to a national champ.

In case you missed it, let me be the first to tell you: The Saint Francis Cougars are the NAIA Division II champions in men's basketball. The Cougars slipped by top-ranked Walsh by a point tonight, 67-66, in the championship game in Point Lookout, Mo., picking off a last desperate Walsh inbounds pass at midcourt as time ran out.

Big props to coach Jeff Rekeweg, NAIA All-American DeJovaun Sawyer-Davis and the rest of the Coogs, who came in seeded 15th and made Cinderella sing. You did your city proud.
