A crash involving a van a fuel tanker truck spilled about 20 gallons of diesel fuel and closed U.S. 30 at Kroemer Road for about 20 minutes Thursday morning, according to police.
The collision about 10:45 a.m. caused the trucks tank to rupture, though firefighters used absorbent on the spilled fuel and prevented it from leaking into the waterways, Fort Wayne Fire Department Assistant Chief Amy Biggs said.
Neither driver was injured.
