Warsaw headed to state

Warsaw beat Carroll 58-53 in the Class 4A semistate at Huntington North on Saturday.

The Tigers (23-2) will play in the 4A state championship next Saturday at Conseco Fieldhouse at 8:30 p.m.

It is the program's first state finals appearance since 1996 and first in a state title game since 1984.

Carroll finishes 22-4, with two of the losses to Warsaw.
