And Another Thing

File / Associated Press
Urban Meyer

Hey, you! Quit doing your job!

Something tells me Urban Meyer should have taken more time off.

This in response to a confrontation, caught on tape, after a Florida spring practice. Meyer threatened Orlando Sentinel reporter Jeremy Fowler -- and his paper -- with expulsion from spring practice after Fowler accurately quoted Florida wide receiver Deonte Thompson in an otherwise unremarkable story about the differences between departed quarterback Tim Tebow and his successor, John Brantley.

The gist of Thompson's fairly uncontroversial answer to Fowler's completely innocuous question is that Tebow was more unpredictable, whereas with Brantley "everything's with rhythm, time. Like, you know what I mean, a real quarterback."

You can find footage of Meyer's absurd overreaction to that here. And after you watch it, tell me your response wasn't the same as mine.

Chill out, Alice.
