Home sweet home

INDIANAPOLIS -- ... and here is where I resist the urge to go all Cliche City and say, "The Butler did it."

Because, ahem, Butler did it.

Beat Kansas State 63-56 to land a berth in the Final Four, in its own hometown. No one else in tournament history has ever done that.

You should hear it down here. Conseco Fieldhouse is, shall we say, buzzing. Guys walking around with cellphones plugged to their ears. Other guys walking around saying, "How 'bout them Bulldogs?" I can only imagine what this city will be like next weekend.

Oh, yeah. And Washington leads Gary Wallace 31-28 at halftime of the 3A title game. Not that, you know, it matters at the moment.
