Miami (Ohio) dominating

We're midway through the first of two games at the NCAA Midwest Hockey regional at Memorial Coliseum, and top-seeded Miami (Ohio) is leading Alabama-Huntsville 2-0.

Both goals came on the power play, the latest from Cameron Schilling of Carmel, who happened to be coached by Komets assistant Gary Graham when he was in high school.

The shots are 20-9 in favor of Miami.

I'd say there are about 2,400 fans here. Everyone seems hopeful that will improve for the later game between Michigan and Bemidji State.

Not much remarkable about this game, so far, except for the goaltending on both sides. Miami's most impressive player has been Curtis McKenzie, property of the Dallas Stars, who has set up both goals.
