After Friday's practice, Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o talked a little about his trip home after Christmas.
Te'o said only his mom and dad knew he was coming home during the break, and he got to surprise his brother and sisters.
"It was the best thing ever," Te'o said of his time back in Laie, Hawaii.
Te'o said he and his family went to a Vietnamese restaurant for his first meal.
"I called my dad and said that's the first place I want to go," Te'o said. "From the airport, we went straight over there and had my first meal with my family. It was a great time."
Te'o said he still misses home sometimes.
"I don't think it will ever go away, but you just get used to it," Te'o said. "You get used to the fact you can't go home, and mom's cooking dinner for you, and you are seeing your siblings."
