Details vague on Boucher incident

According to the Flint Journal, an unnamed fan at Perani Arena has accused Komets goaltender Nick Boucher of hitting him with a stick while he was briefly pulled from the Generals' 5-4 victory over Fort Wayne in an overtime shootout Sunday.

The Komets are keeping mum on the situation.

"I can't comment on that at this time," Boucher said. "Until the league looks into it, I don't want to say anything. Once that happens, I'll be happy to chat about it, sure."

The IHL hasn't reviewed the incident, a spokesperson said.

Komets coach Al Sims, who didn't see the incident, said Boucher was upset and swung his stick at a railing.

"I'm not sure if it hit the fan," said Sims, adding police were called to the area of the arena and kept watch the rest of the game.
