After you’ve nibbled the ears off your chocolate bunnies Sunday, you might want a real meal. Here’s a basket full of more Easter treats.

•Sara’s Family Restaurant, 5792 Coventry Lane, will be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the regular menu and several features that start at $8.99. The Italian sampler has cheese manicotti, chicken parmesan, pasta alfredo, salad and garlic bread. The barbecue feast includes ribs, chicken, fries, baked beans and coleslaw. There is also a seafood feast and a tilapia dinner with rice, vegetables, salad and baked potato.

•Hall’s Guesthouse, 1313 W. Washington Center Road, will have a buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Ossian ham, prime rib, salads, vegetables and desserts. It’s $24.95 for adults and $7.95 for children ages 3 to 10. For reservations, call 489-2524, ext. 413.

•Hall’s Triangle Park, 3010 Trier Road, will serve brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You also can enjoy the regular menu or the Ossian ham dinner with sweet potatoes, salad and a vegetable for $11.99 ($9.99 seniors and $4.99 children).

•The Lucky Moose, 622 E. Dupont Road, will have a brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with royal red shrimp, ribs, chicken, tilapia, catfish, omelets, ham, potato casserole and salad bar. (You can get omelets and potatoes without the buffet between 10 and 11 a.m.) The buffet is $12.95; children age 10 and younger get free pancakes with adult buffet purchase.

•Henry’s, 536 W. Main St., opens at 4 p.m. Specials include roast beef dinners and sandwiches.

•Waynedale Bakery has plenty of holiday treats, including “fruit basket” cakes, carrot cake, pineapple upside-down cake, Boston cream pie, hot cross buns ($7 a dozen) and iced sugar cookies ($7 a dozen). Cakes are $10 to $22. Call 747-2992 to order.

•The Bakery, 2461 Hobson Road, is making hot cross buns ($4 a dozen or $2.50 for six), cookies ($10 a dozen or $1 each), cupcakes ($12.50 a dozen or $1.25 each). To order, call 755-6904. The Bakery will close at noon Friday and Saturday.

•Amish Acres in Nappanee will serve its hearty Threshers Dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s $15.95 to $19.95; children 12 and younger are charged $1.25 per year of age. The Easter egg hunt starts at 1 p.m.

Or get a carryout meal with ham, beef, potatoes, vegetable, coleslaw, dressing, gravy, bread, apple butter and pie. The $59.95 dinner feeds five, and the $99.95 dinner feeds 10. Stroh closing at Pine Valley

The Famous Fish of Stroh location in Pine Valley Shopping Center will close at the end of May when its lease expires.

Starting this weekend, it will be closed Sundays and Mondays. Hours for April and May are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Meanwhile, hours at the Georgetown Square location are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. It will be closed on Easter.

That restaurant will start serving breakfast again in June.

Cheap eats at Ivy Tech’s deli

Ivy Tech Community College’s student-run deli, CoCo Bistro, is open for lunch every Wednesday.

The menu changes each week but typically includes one or two sandwiches, a soup, a salad and a vegetarian option.

Sandwich prices start at $3.50; soups are $1.75 and up.

And there are plenty of desserts: cookies, cheesecakes, breads and other baked goods.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays through April 28.

Chop’s offers lamb lollipops

With dishes such as scallop pasta, lamb “lollipops” and a risotto of the day, Chop’s Wine Bar caters to the pickiest of palates.

It also serves cocktails and imported craft beers. And it has daily features, such as fried green tomatoes.

The bar, which seats 45 people, is next door to Chop’s Steak & Seafood, 6421 W. Jefferson Blvd.

It opens at 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. The kitchen closes at 10 p.m. weekdays and 11 p.m. weekends. The wine bar is closed Sundays and Mondays.

Historic feast at Peony Tea House

If you want to celebrate the birthday of French gastronome Jean Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, who wrote “The Physiology of Taste” in 1825, the Peony Tea House will have a feasting possibility Thursday.
