A Kosciusko County woman out on bond from a preliminary charge of assisting in a strong-armed robbery of a liquor store was arrested Friday night, accused of making methamphetamine.
Town Marshal Tim Sammons pulled over a pickup truck near Market and Fourth streets in Pierceton about 10 p.m. Friday and detected the odor of meth production coming from the back, according to a written statement from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver and passenger were taken into custody by the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force after a mobile meth lab was found in a tool box in the bed of the pickup.
Darrell Hatcher, 24, who lives north of Pierceton, was charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine and his bond was set at $20,000.
Elizibeth I. Likens, 23, who lives east of Winona Lake, was charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine and aiding and abetting, and her bond was set at $20,000.
Likens was out on bond in connection with a charge of aiding a robbery earlier this year at Service Liquors East in Warsaw, the sheriff’s department said.
The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team was called to the scene to deal with hazardous material involved with the meth lab.
The Warsaw Police Department also assisted at the scene.
