Kudos to Saint Francis for re-upping football coach Kevin Donley through 2016, or effectively for the rest of his career.
You wouldn't think this would be much more than a formality for a guy who A) started the program, B) is 121-26 in 12 seasons, and C) has taken the school to three national title games and, until the men's basketball team won the NAIA Division II title last month, had given Saint Francis the only substantive athletic identity it's ever had.
But little birdies tell me there was at least some disgruntlement on some level with Donley of late. And Donley himself hinted as much to The Journal Gazette's Steve Warden, saying in today's editions that "We've had some issues to hash through, but I feel tremendous support from our administration."
One would hope so. Because if not, somebody's been into the stupid pills.
