    Friday night's Komets game against Kalamazoo will be the first Kids Seat Free night of the season. Those under 12 will get a free ticket with the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket.

  • Tremblay to get called up
    Nothing official yet, but the word is Francois Tremblay will be called up to Lake Erie of the American Hockey League. He had a 21-save shutout Sunday at Indianapolis in his professional debut.

Anderson fired

Former Komets player John Anderson was fired as coach of the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers, after going 70-75-19 in two seasons, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

As a side note, former Komets coach Grant Sonier, whom I chatted with on the internet the other day, has been scouting for the Thrashers. I wonder if his role has become greater now that his friend Rick Dudley has been promoted to general manager.
