What if I used twisted stitches to accent a spiral-rib knit piece? (result: it looks pretty cool)

What if I failed to figure out how to make a thumb gore look normal in that context? (result: it looks kind of sloppy)

What if I am hopelessly lost in my scribbled lunch-time-knitting notes? (result: ??)
