Huntington North game part of awareness program

The Homestead-Huntington North baseball game April 22 will be part of the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association's cooperation with the American Cancer Society in a state-wide effort to raise money for the fight against cancer.

The game will be part of the "Baseball Strikes Out Kancer" program that runs April 19-May 1.

Last year, more than 100 teams raised $10,000 for the American Cancer Society.

Each player will wear a sticker on their baseball cap or batting helmet that denotes the effort behind the designated game calling attention to the fight against prostate cancer.
