Goalie news? Nope.

Justin A. Cohn
The Journal Gazette

Just talked to Komets coach Al Sims and he said he's going to keep his goaltending starter a secret until Thursday, when the Komets play Game 1 of the IHL semifinals against the Port Huron Icehawks.

He's got Nick Boucher, the two-time Cup-winning goalie, or Tim Haun, the IHL's reigning Goaltender of the Year.

Tough call? Not to me. I go Boucher without hesitation. Look what he's done in the playoffs, and he's great against Port Huron.

But we'll see.

  • Komets left wing P.C. Drouin was selected as the IHL's Player of the Month. He tallied five goals and 15 points in 10 games.
  • If you missed tonight's edition of "We've got Game," click the button to the right to hear the replay. Great conversations on the NFL draft with Phil B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star, the upcoming Komets series with Paul Costanzo of the Port Huron Times-Herald and the things we'd like back in sports with Greg Rajan of the Caller-Times in Corpus Christi. It was a fun show.
