Irish pick up 4th commitment, report says

Notre Dame added its fourth commitment for the class of 2011 on Wednesday, according to

Mathias Farley of Christian High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, committed to Notre Dame on Wednesday morning, according to the Web site.

Farley made an unofficial visit to Notre Dame on Monday, watching spring practice and taking a tour of the campus with his coach.

Farley is designated an athlete by the Irish, but he will likely come in as a cornerback at Notre Dame.

Farley was mainly being recruited as a receiver, and he said he had offers from Duke, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, N.C. State, UCLA and Wisconsin as well as Notre Dame.
