Today's minor league baseball update

This just in: The Milwaukee Brewers made history today, handing the Pittsburgh Pirates ("The Farm Team To The Stars") the worst loss in the franchise's 124-year history.

The Brewers won 20-0, sweeping the three-game series with the Pirates in Pittsburgh. They outscored the Bucs 36-1 in the three games.

As a lifelong Pirates fan, I have to say the franchise is now not just embarrassing but an utter disgrace, and I sincerely wish the current ownership would do what the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette advised in print some time ago -- sell the team to someone who at least appreciates the history of which they're making a mockery. These guys don't.

On the other hand, at least the Buccos aren't really a major-league franchise anymore. That would make what's happening, you know, really bad.
