Komets lead 2-1

The Komets lead the Port Huron Icehawks 2-1 after two periods in Game 2 of the IHL Playoff Semifinals.

After Brandon Naurato scored a power-play goal for Port Huron from the right circle, tying it at 1, Fort Wayne goaltender Tim Haun high-sticked Derek Patrosso. That's the same Patrosso whom Haun swung his stick at during a regular-season game and got a seven-game suspension from the IHL.

The Komets' Justin Hodgman regained the lead at 13:08, splitting the defense and beating goalie Larry Sterling with a bankhand shot that slipped just inside the left post.

Things got interesting late in the period. Port Huron's Kevin Hansen kind of hit Haun after a whistle, though Haun really embellished it. After the period ended, Sterling was yapping at someone, probably Haun.

Should be a good third period.
