Receiver Golden Tate was the second former Notre Dame player taken in the second round of the NFL draft.
The 5-foot-11, 199-pound Henderson, Tenn., native was taken with the 60th pick overall by Seattle Seahawks. Quarterback Jimmy Clausen was taken 11 spots earlier by the Carolina Panthers.
Tate left the Irish after his junior season. He led Notre Dame with 1,496 receiving yards and 15 touchdown catches last season.
Tate had 2,707 receiving yards, 4,130 all-purpose yards and 30 touchdowns in three seasons with the Irish.
