Greetings from McMorran Arena

PORT HURON, Mich. -- Greetings from McMorran Arena. Smells like sewage in the arena, for some reason. But it doesn't seem to have fouled up the Komets in warm-ups. They look pretty focused.

I can see, oh, about 50 Fort Wayne fans so far.

I am the only reporter from Fort Wayne who made the trip, so keep checking back throughout the night here and at www.twitter.com/jgkomets.

Key to the game? No question, the play of Komets goaltender Nick Boucher, who has won 14 of 16 games up here.

I also have a sneaking suspicion that Port Huron defenseman Jamie Lovell will play a big role in this game.
