Company will lease space in Coastal Commerce facility; add 30 jobs

Written statement issued Wednesday morning:

Fort Wayne, Ind. (April 28, 2010) — Murpac Services Inc. announced today that it is locating operations in Fort Wayne, Indiana.The company, which refurbishes reels for wire, will lease space at the Coastal Commerce site, located at 3405 Meyer Road. Murpac Services is investing $500,000 in the project and will add 30 jobs. Project completion is scheduled for May 2010.

"As a company, we believe this is the ideal location for us to conduct business," said Donald Murry, president of Murpac Services. "Our proximity to the companies we supply gives us an advantage and is of great importance to the prosperity of Murpac Services. This expansion will play a pivotal role in the future success of our company."

The company will lease 56,000 sq. ft. at Coastal Commerce, which also houses distribution operations for Superior Essex and is in close proximity to Rea Magnet Wire's Fort Wayne location. The Coastal Commerce facility is comprised of over 857,000 sq. ft. and is located within the city of Fort Wayne's Urban Enterprise Zone.

The Urban Enterprise Zone was founded in 1984 and is a 3.99 square mile area located in the central part of Fort Wayne. A company or individual that is located within the Urban Enterprise Zone and has acquired Enterprise Zone designation may be entitled to certain tax benefits.

"Murpac's decision to relocate in the Enterprise Zone is further evidence of the growing themes of business collaboration and cooperation within the urban core," stated Kirk Moriarty, director of the Fort Wayne Urban Enterprise Association. "We will work together with Murpac Services to ensure that they have the resources needed to continue to grow and operate successfully in Fort Wayne."

Murpac Services' headquarters is located in Simcoe, Ontario. The company has additional facilities in Humbhoct, Tennessee and Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Murpac Services specializes in refurbishing reels for wire and was established in 1995.
