Former guard Chris Kramer hired an agent with Purdue ties Sunday.
Buddy Baker, an Indianapolis-based agent, will represent Kramer.
Baker received his undergrad degree from Purdue in 1994 and served as a manager on the men's basketball team under Gene Keady from 1990-94.
Among his clients are current coach Matt Painter, former Purdue assistant coach Cuonzo Martin and former Boilermaker Carl Landry. Former Purdue guard Tarrance Crump is listed as an "associate" for Exclusive Sports Group, which is Baker's company.
On hoopshype.com, Baker is listed as having two clients who play in the NBA, Landry and Wizards forward James Singleton.
Baker became a full-time agent in 2001 and had his first NFL client drafted in 2003, according to The Sporting News. That same story called Baker a man with integrity and a "sterling reputation" with NFL executives. If you're curious about Baker, read it. It's a great piece.
Kramer talked about the process of hiring an agent at Purdue's men's basketball banquet in early April.
"You have to put your trust in somebody," Kramer said. "Somebody who would go to war for you and try to sell you the best they can. For me, you have to put your trust in somebody who will show you can help win games by not necessarily scoring or doing things like that, just those little things. So you have to find an agent who truly understands the game of basketball and how some of the little things that go overlooked that you can do can be beneficial."
