IPFW's Kristina Karpun has been here before; three times, to be exact.
For the third time this season, the junior catcher has been named Summit League Player of the Week - or at least co-Player of the Week, sharing it with South Dakota State's Kelsey Lunn.
Karpun went 7 for 15 for a .467 batting average. The week included four home runs, 10 RBI and 19 total bases for a 1.267 slugging percentage, and a .619 on-base percentage.
She leads the team in about every offensive category: batting average (.385), doubles (12), home runs (12), RBI (38), total bases (95), slugging percentage (.779), on-base percentage (.490), and is tied for the team lead in walks. The slugging percentage is the third highest in Summit League history, and her 12 home runs are tied for eighth all-time.
The Mastodons have clinched the second seed in the Summit League Tournament that begins May 14 at North Dakota State University.
