  • Things to check out
For the first time this season, the Komets aren't on top of the Eastern Conference standings. Losing three of five games will do that to a team.
  • Bad loss yields great highlights
Even though the Komets lost 3-1 to the Greenville Road Warriors -- and lost their hold on first place in the Eastern Conference for the first time this season -- I think you will enjoy the highlights in the video here.
  • Komets lose to Greenville
The Komets wanted their defense to improve, and it has. But the offense has disappeared. The Komets lost 3-1 Saturday to the Greenville Road Warriors, in front of 7,368 fans at Memorial Coliseum, and they’ve scored only four goals in

That's some funny stuff

A power-play goal by the Komets' Matt Syroczynski has tied Game 2 of the Turner Cup Finals at 1.

Syroczynski's goal came at 13:22 of the second period, after defenseman Guy Dupuis' shot from the blue line crept underneath the arm of goaltender Rob Nolan. Syroczynski jabbed his puck under Nolan's arm and chipped it top-shelf.

Later, one of the funniest things I've seen at a hockey rink took place. The Komets' net had been knocked off its moorings, but that wasn't noticed by the officials. So goaltender Nick Boucher made it look like it was on when the Komets had the puck, but as soon as the Generals looked like they might get a rush, he knocked the net back. He did this three times or so. Classic.
