Nice day in South Bend

So here we are, about 12:20, and we've got a wonderful view overlooking the 14 courts of the 14 outdoor courts of the Courtney Tennis Center.

While Boise State and Iowa are still playing in the day's scheduled first match, IPFW and Notre Dame are warming up in the distant courts. IPFW, in blue shirts and white skirts, is on the left, Notre Dame is on the right.

So far, no signs of nerves from the visiting Mastodons, even though the Joyce Center is right across the fence close to where IPFW is warming up. And beyond that is Notre Dame Stadium.

Other than that, it's just another typical day in the athletic life of IPFW.

For the most part, it's overcast, with the sun making an occasional guest appearance. And from my vantage point about 25 feet above the courts, it's windy.

We'll keep tabs on the Mastodons, and get back with you.
