Ragone pleads not guilty

Notre Dame tight end Mike Ragone pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor marijuana possession in a LaGrange court Monday, according to the prosecutor's office.

Ragone, 22, and a 21-year-old female companion, who also entered a not guilty plea Monday, will face trial in June, according to the prosecutor's office. An exact date has not been set.

The misdemeanor charge carries a maximum sentence of a year in jail.

Ragone was charged with possession after two small bags of marijuana were found in the woman's purse after they were stopped for speeding on the Indiana Toll Road on May 8.
