Flint, Port Huron appear out

According to The Flint Journal, the Flint Generals will not be making the move with their IHL brethren to the restructured Central Hockey League next season. The newspaper reported Tuesday night that Perani Arena has opted to give an exclusive lease agreement to a new North American Hockey League junior team. The principal owners of the Port Huron Icehawks, Frank and Larry Kinney, had been slated to be the new Generals owners, the Journal reported, meaning Port Huron will also probably not move to the CHL-IHL collective. That would leave only four IHL teams: Fort Wayne, Quad City, Bloomington and Dayton.
