James Darnell continues to make his presence felt during his short stint in Fort Wayne.
Darnell went 1 for 3 with one RBI. He also scored the eventual game-winning run in the TinCaps' 5-4 victory against Dayton.
Darnell, who is getting a few at-bats while recovering from a right hand injury, played a spectacular third base as well.
Darnell is batting .360 (9 for 25) for the TinCaps. He made the All-Star team last year and started this season at San Diego's Double A team in San Antonio.
"He's a professional. A professional hitter, a professional guy. A good teammate," TinCaps manager Jose Flores said. "Guys look up to him. He's the type of guy that tries to help these young guys out as far as what to look for when they are up at the plate. Him being here really helped these guys."
