Treat Dad to a feast to celebrate Fathers Day on Sunday. Here are some area restaurants offering special features:
Halls Factory, 5811 Coldwater Road, will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the regular menu and features, including a 12-ounce cracked-pepper strip steak with lobster tail, cheddar mashed potatoes and a choice of soup or salad for $19.95. Or get a slab of barbecue ribs with a side and salad for $18.95. Dads can add a half-slab of ribs to any entrée for an additional $10. For reservations, call 484-8693.
Halls Triangle Park, 3010 Trier Road, will have a barbecue platter with pork spareribs, chicken, pulled pork, french fries, beans, coleslaw and corn bread for $14.99. (If you can eat it all, youll get strawberry shortcake for dessert.)
The Lucky Moose, 622 E. Dupont Road, will have a $12.95 Cajun buffet with shrimp, crawfish étouffée, smoked ham, ribs, tilapia, salad bar, omelets, bread pudding and beignets. The buffet is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the restaurant closes at 9 p.m. Children 9 and younger can get a half-price buffet or free pancakes or scrambled eggs with an adult purchase. Moosewood Smokehouse in the Marketplace of Canterbury will have all-you-can-eat ribs, chicken, tilapia or catfish (with salad bar) for $12.95. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Savory Dish in Georgetown Square will offer a free slice of pie to dads on Sunday. It also has a new menu, available at www.thesavorydish.net. And the restaurant will have a party from 5 to 8 p.m. July 1 to celebrate its new evening hours. Reservations are required; call 748-0874.
Clays Restaurant in Fremont will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a $6.99 breakfast buffet until 1 p.m. Starting at 11 a.m., enjoy roast turkey or beef pot roast for $9.99, fried chicken or shrimp for $12.99 and prime rib for $17.99. Eateries to open
The Fire House Tea & Coffee Café, 1245 E. State Blvd., plans to have a grand opening Friday with a buy one, get one free special on drinks. It serves 60 types of tea, plus chai, Italian sodas, bubble tea and drinks made from Old Crown Coffee Roasters coffee. Homemade baked goods are available.
Hours are 6 a.m. to midnight Mondays to Fridays, 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. The café is in Engine House No. 10, next to the Rib Room. For information, call 444-4071.

Erv’s adds to menu
When Kevin and Angela Ervins decided to stuff a sub sandwich with turkey, ham, roast beef, bacon, mozzarella, sautéed green peppers and onions, lettuce, tomato and a Southwestern-style sauce, they figured it could only be called Ervs Ultimate.
You can get it, served with rosemary grilled potatoes, at Ervs 7th Floor Café, 110 W. Berry St.
Other new menu items include chicken taco salad and turkey and vegetable wraps. Besides a variety of salads and sandwiches, Ervs has chili, soup and daily specials.
Breakfast items include fruit and yogurt parfaits, croissants and wraps.
Hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.

Wine tasting set
Joseph Decuis in Roanoke will have its first courtyard wine tasting of the season from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Enjoy barbecue wines, light appetizers and live music for $25.

The next vineyard lunch at noon June 26 will feature the wines and cuisine of Oregon. Its $40 (or $28 without wine), plus tax and gratuity. The menu includes roasted wild mushroom salad, roasted salmon, Wagyu beef and mushroom risotto, and berry crisp with toasted hazelnut ice cream. Reservations are required.
Summer at Casa
The Casa Restaurant Group chefs are drizzling sun-dried tomato cream sauce over two featured entrées available through July: Mediterranean cannelloni with vegetables, and rigatoni rosa with crumbled sausage and peas.
Other special dishes are mezza luna di maiale (sliced pork with sun-dried tomato butter and ravioli; served with Casa side salad) and insalata ravioli (smoked salmon ravioli with field greens, cucumber, red peppers, tomatoes and peas).
The pizza is BLT with bacon, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese (Asiago, provolone and mozzarella).
Entrée prices are $6.29 to $9.29.
‘Wine in the Pines’
Where else but Black Pine Animal Park can you sip wine while admiring the antics of big cats?
The second annual Wine in the Pines fundraiser will be Saturday at the non-profit animal park in Albion, which is home to about 80 rescued exotic animals.
A tour begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by a wine tasting with appetizers and live music from 7 to 9 p.m.
