INDIANAPOLIS - The guy calling balls and strikes for the Class 4A state baseball championship might be a familiar one for Carroll, which faces Cathedral at Victory Field.

The home-plate umpire is Tom Neuenschwander, who hails from Ossian.

Not only does he have a geophraphical connection to the Chargers, but he also sees Carroll athletes during the sports season as an assistant football coach for Norwell.
