There wasn't any no-hit magic for Fort Wayne's Jose De Paula Saturday. The TinCaps starting pitcher allowed a singe on the first pitch of a 5-1 loss to Bowling Green.
De Paula pitched seven no-hit innings in his previous start June 17 against Dayton. He was lifted from that game, and the TinCaps gave up a hit to the first batter of the eighth.
De Paula went five innings Saturday, allowing four runs, three earned, on seven hits. He struck out five.
