Rumpled bed, happy cats

Alibi, left, and Keyser

I have a perfectly good reason why I don’t make my bed in the morning.

Actually I have two – Alibi and Keyser.

Without fail, my two cats settle down into the rumpled bed while I am getting ready each morning.

And when it’s time for me to head to work I just can’t find it in my heart to shoo them off the bed so that I can make it.

Sometimes I can lure them off by throwing open the curtain and letting a patch of sunlight come in.

Nothing makes Keyser move faster than a patch of sunlight.

And sometimes just one of them is on the bed and I can sort of half-make the bed.

But until I grow a little bit thicker skin, I will have to live with a constantly rumpled bed and two very happy and sleepy cats.
